IT Audit Project Manager

  • Specific Duties: 
    • Assist the IT Audit Director in performing the annual Information Technology risk assessment and development of the Information Technology audit plan.   
    • Independently plan, lead and perform multiple information technology audits and consultative reviews of general IT controls, information technology infrastructure, business applications and new technology development initiatives.   
    • Oversees and motivates staff auditors on technology, and review work of staff auditors ensuring audit work performed meets departmental standards.
    • Develops staff through ongoing feedback, on the job training and recommendations for specific external training.  
    • Effectively allocates time between multiple assignments. 
    • Completes audits on time and within budget.  
    • Effectively communicates audit status, results and recommendations to senior management via Internal Audit reports, memos, and oral presentations. 
    • Develops and maintains relationships with audit stakeholders, business audit team members, senior leaders, external auditors and regulators.  
    • Maintain proficiency in current IT audit standards and procedures and keep abreast of technology developments and IT audit/control and information security best practices. 
    • Provide technical/consulting support to Internal Audit staff and acts as a liaison with Information Technology personnel and external vendors. 
    • Effectively utilize data analytics to efficiently achieve audit project objective.  
    • Consult on the establishment or reengineering of business policies, procedures, and processes. 
  • Qualifications: 
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, accounting or related field (or equivalent experience) 
    • 8+ years of progressive experience with IT audits is required 
    • Certification (such as CPS, CISA or CISSP) is required  
    • Extensive experience in auditing applications controls design, systems development life cycle, technology infrastructure, Cyber Security and IT general controls. 
    • Extensive experience with NIST CSF Framework, ISO27001, COSO, and COBIT is required 
    • Strong understanding of Unix, Active Directory, computer networking and relational data base principles and controls  
    • Experience leading project teams 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    • Significant experience in designing CAATs (computer-assisted audit techniques) to efficiently achieve audit objectives.   
    • Demonstrated expertise in use of and Microsoft Office products.
